Oromia communications disputes news of ethnic displacement in Wollega

Ethiopia has the highest record of internal displacement in the first half of 2018. Reports show that 1.4 million people lost their homes. This news is shocking considering the reform the country is going through. It only seems to get worse as more news of internal displacement due to ethnic discrimination comes to light. The recent news involves Amhara born residents displaced from Qelem Wollega in Oromia. The news became a controversial issue on social media since many radical agendas are recently reflecting from the region. Ato Admasu Damtew, Oromia Communication Affairs Office Head, gave a statement to Fana Broadcasting on the news.
