Saudi-Ethiopian Billionaire Al Amoudi Released in Saudi Arabia
Saudi-Ethiopian billionaire Mohammed Al Amoudi has been released more than a year after his arrest in what Saudi authorities said was a crackdown on corruption, the Ethiopian prime minister’s office and his associates said.
A Saudi official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said last month that Al Amoudi would face trial in a Saudi court on a date yet to be confirmed. There was no immediate comment from Saudi Arabia on the reasons behind or conditions of his release.
